Trigger Point Massage

‘s …What exactly is trigger point.

It is a bundle of muscle fibers  and fascia that remain contracted without being able to relax. Such a spot can be very painful but it can also show no symptoms unless touched. The most common case, however, is to sent pain to a completely different point. One may also just feel the muscle tight and with reduced mobility. With the trigger point massage we go deep into the muscle tissue find these ‘knots’ and dissolve them. As a result the contraction relaxes,  the knot at first softens and later diminishes or disappears. Gradually the pain is eliminated.

What creates a trigger point.

Muscle weakness, minor strains, dehydration, tension, stress, accidents , operations, injuries and even improper nutrition. With overuse or injury the muscle fibers are unable to relax and this might cause the fascia or muscle to stay permanently contracted. This knot that is created besides the pain that causes also prevents blood circulation in the area. This results to the muscle’s poor nurishement. Also because of poor circulation metabolic waste is accumulated at the area and the massage helps the detoxification process.
